I find it half irritating & half comical how so many copycats just blatantly rip off pretty much everything I do business-wise

Since I started 4 years ago, a TON of novice podcasters have entered the macro space. I have no problem with that. There are few barriers to entry

But so many of them target the exact folks I interview, right after I interview them, about the exact same topics I focused on. Often asking the exact same questions I did. Again, not cool, but not illegal/immoral.

But so many now copy my business model, my program format, my wardrobe, my studio background...and now I see previously clean-shaven dudes now trying to copy my beard style 😂

I mean, if you're going to compete with me, have a little self-respect & at least try to demonstrate some shred of having your own identity. No one respects an uncreative plagiarist.

Sorry to rant. Just needed to get this out. Mostly because I just have to laugh.

To be clear: I'm not concerned about these copycats. They don't strike me as threats. And IMO the more people talking macro in the world, the better. If any end up offering a better service that attracts away my audience -- then good on them, they'll deserve it.

But man, some of them should really try harder....
