If you want to actually learn Rust, do it like this: fewer projects, but each one ships with tests, docs, Docker, and a real deployment. The language clicks better when you build something that can break in production.

1. CLI log parser (read file, parse, aggregate, output JSON)

2. Tiny HTTP server from scratch (tcp listener, parse request, write response)

3. REST CRUD API in Rust (Axum + Postgres, migrations, proper error types)

4. JWT auth service (register/login, password hashing, refresh tokens)

5. Rate limiter middleware (token bucket or sliding window, Redis optional)

6. Web scraper with concurrency (Tokio tasks, bounded concurrency, retries, backoff)
