A blockchain is basically a genius locked in a room with no windows.

Vincent Gramoli shared some insightful data from the recent #IEEE presentation on #blockchain bandwidth consumption.

The numbers are striking: #Solana consumes up to 17,812 KiB per node pair, #Algorand up to 11,240 KiB, while Redbelly and #Avalanche show significantly smaller footprints.

This kind of efficiency matters. Lower bandwidth usage means better scalability, lower operational costs, and more sustainable infrastructure — especially as networks grow and real adoption increases.

MoneyGram has launched MGUSD, a U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin on the Stellar $XLM, allowing users to hold and transfer digital dollars through the MoneyGram app.
