Two of the Most Shocking Court Cases I Saw Today!

First Case:

A man deceived a young woman and her family by claiming he wanted to marry her. Since her father was wealthy, they accepted him and even provided him with a house in Hotoro.

Unexpectedly, he secretly sold the house without the family's knowledge and used the money to arrange a marriage with another woman living in Saudi Arabia. Just as he was preparing to flee, his scheme was exposed and he was arrested.

The case was taken to court, and today the judge sentenced him to prison.

Second Case:

An elderly man was entrusted with ₦300,000 for safekeeping. Unfortunately, thieves broke into his house and stole the money. The owner of the money refused to accept the loss and took the matter to court.

After hearing both sides, the judge advised the owner to share part of the loss and ordered the elderly man to repay ₦200,000. The owner agreed to the arrangement.

However, when asked where he would get the ₦200,000, the elderly man swore that he did not even have ₦100,000 in total assets and had no money available. The judge then gave him until Friday to raise ₦150,000, warning that failure to do so could result in imprisonment until the debt issue is resolved.

Is follower count an identity?

I think people on social media pay less attention to the content itself and more attention to the identity of the person behind it.

That identity is built through expertise, intelligence, and follower count. People evaluate those signals before they decide how to react to a post.

We see it all the time. Two different accounts talk about the exact same topic in a very similar way, yet one gets little engagement while the other gets a lot.

The reason is identity. People judge you based on your character and the identity you've built.

For example, I'm a pharmacist. I'm 28 years old, married, and I have a daughter. I was born in Turkey and I live in Turkey.

I love psychology, analysis, and observing people. I don't like talking too much. I enjoy reading books and spending time thinking about how people behave.

Yesterday, I started using the Fedica analytics tool (@fedicaHQ) to identify low-quality and bot followers and clean up my account more effectively.

I had a surprisingly large number of inactive followers, and the platform made it easy to identify them. Here are the features I liked the most, along with the screenshots:

1) It helped me identify the accounts that engage with me the most and the least.

I was even able to see followers who quietly read my content in detail but rarely liked or interacted with it.

2) It showed me exactly which days of the week and which hours my followers are most active.

It even shows the topics my followers have been posting about during the last hour.

3) It provides a detailed breakdown of where my followers are located, down to the exact numbers.

As expected, most of my followers are from Nigeria, while the fewest are from Russia, probably because of the language barrier.

4) And of course, it clearly shows which users I follow who don't follow me back, as well as accounts that have recently unfollowed me.

You can even unfollow them directly from within the platform.
