Computors and Miners: How Qubic Really Works
1/10 💡 Qubic is built around two main roles: Computors and Miners. They work together, but they serve very different purposes inside the system.
2/10 🛡️ Computors are the core validators. They boot the Qubic OS, run the tick engine, execute contracts, and decide the correct state of the ledger.
3/10 ⚙️ Miners are the compute workforce. They run AI workloads, solve ANN tasks, and provide the raw computation that powers the UPoW scoring model.
4/10 🔗 UPoW connects both roles. Miners generate useful AI results. Computors verify those results and use them to build their UPoW score.
5/10 🏆 At each epoch, the highest scoring nodes become the 676 Computors. Strong miners help lift the score of the Computor they support. Weak performance lowers it.
6/10 🤝 Computors do not compete with each other. They all run the same computation during each tick. Finality happens when 451 or more match the same output.
7/10 ⚔️ Miners do compete. They try to produce the best, fastest, most accurate AI task results. Better results boost their Computor's ranking for the next epoch.
8/10 🤖 Miners are essential for Aigarth. Their workloads train neural networks, evaluate ANN structures, and supply the compute for Qubic’s AI layer.
9/10 💰 Rewards are shared. Efficient Computors and efficient miners both earn QUBIC. Poor performance leads to reward reduction and even burning.
10/10 ✅ Computors secure the network with deterministic consensus. Miners power the useful work that decides who becomes a Computor next. This combination keeps Qubic fast, honest, and constantly self-filtering.
