Carl Jung (who founded Analytical Psychology) was into things other scientists would normally dismiss. He explored ‘fringe’ theories bridging subjects of depth psychology, the occult & parapsychology.

Instead of rejecting the paranormal Jung thought subjective experiences like alchemy, astrology, UFOs and telepathy were meaningful projections of the human psyche that deserved more extensive analysis both cultural and symbolic.
