Just imagine for a second that you run an investment firm.

Every time you move funds or adjust a position onchain, competitors can study those transactions and use the information to understand your strategy.

That’s one of the difficult parts of public blockchains.

Transparency makes transactions verifiable, but it can also expose sensitive financial information that businesses would rather keep private.

This is why I find the work Primus is doing interesting.

The goal is to make privacy and verification work together, so financial applications can protect sensitive information without losing the ability to verify what’s true.

I believe this balance will be important as more institutional activity moves onchain.
