Coinbase gave $INJ one of its biggest shoutouts yet ๐
While most of the market struggled in May, Coinbase Institutional highlighted INJ as the best-performing asset in the Coinbase 50 Index, posting an impressive 87% monthly gain
According to Coinbase, the move was backed by strong fundamentals, especially the launch of native Circle USDC on Injective and the Vulcan network upgrade
But that's only part of the story
Over the past few months, @injective has been stacking major milestones:
> Native USDC is live, bringing regulated stablecoin liquidity to the ecosystem.
>Vulcan upgraded the network, making the infrastructure even stronger for developers and onchain finance
> Asia's first regulated INJ investment fund (M-INJ) launched, giving traditional investors easier access to Injective
> INJ futures are regulated in the US through Bitnomial, another step toward institutional adoption
> ETF discussions around INJ continue to grow, opening new doors for mainstream investors
> AI, RWAs, tokenized assets, and onchain trading infrastructure keep expanding across the ecosystem
What stands out to me is that Coinbase didn't point to speculation.
They pointed to fundamentals
While the downturn in May was broad-based, pockets of strength emerged in DeFi, driven by strong fundamentals.
Injective (INJ) rose 87% following its native Circle integration and the announcement of its Vulcan network upgrade, while Near Protocol (NEAR) was up 75% on continued AI tailwinds and institutional inflows.
