This week's @USOpenGolf will be his first major start in 7 years.

The 44-year-old former Ryder Cupper's last major start at The Open in 2019 got off to an incredible start before an unfortunate fall. Holmes led after the first and second rounds before shooting 87 on Sunday to fall from third to 67th.

The five-time TOUR winner has made only three cuts in 23 starts over the last four seasons, but one strong day of play at Golf's Longest Day can propel you all the way to major championship glory.

Holmes led the TOUR in Driving Distance in both 2011 and 2016.

ALERT: Former corrections staff member arrested after allegedly allowing an inmate to use her cell phone during one-on-one teaching in Nebraska.

Heather Robinson, 38, the former General Education Development program teacher at the Douglas County Department of Corrections, is accused of allowing a 21-year-old inmate access to her cellphone.

The inmate was part of a GED program, and Robinson allowed him to take photos, make video calls, and even sent messages to the inmate's family on his behalf.

Sheriff Aaron Hanson said, "This is how witness tampering occurs. This is how, witnesses in homicides or other violent crimes are threatened or injured or even killed. This is how drugs are distributed or contraband is, smuggled into facilities. And this is how people are scammed."

Robinson faces 5 felony counts, including allowing a committed offender to escape or have unauthorized visitation or communication.
