@wizardshid@KarlMarxsless@eStarland Individual GameStops don’t set the prices, Corporate does. If an item is labeled as 9,999.99 it means it’s supposed to be shipped out to the factory to be refurbished, no matter what. The actual price of the item is likely around 320-340 dollars.
@wizardshid@KarlMarxsless@eStarland Because the employees were likely completely unaware that’s what they’re supposed to do. Happens more often than you’d think unfortunately
@SulfurousDragon Slight correction: Kane Pixel’s backrooms *IS* Non-Euclidean in several spaces, which we see in the movie. Like [SPOILERS]
Mary entering the second house near the third act and turning in a way that should lead to a dead end (or back out to the “street) but leads to a hallway.
@JozuJoestarr With no house) his situation is pitiable, and like Mary you only want to see the best for him. After he enters the backrooms, he becomes sympathetic and almost pitiable in a different manner. He can’t change or grow as a person, he can never understand his mistakes, (2/3)
@Zuukeykni@Blazecap1203 I personally interpreted that scene as it “consuming” or “downloading” her memories as she goes into the backrooms. Either that, or someone she knew went in at some point.
@LocusMomus@thehorizon2b2t It was a long time ago, so I can't really remember all too well, but it was something about *him* specifically and not any particular topic.
@IsyaboiGreeri@PREEM1E I’ll be completely honest I think this ending was in some way his plan from the start. Maybe not exactly the way it ended but he’s talked in interviews about making an ending that feels in some way “meaningless” or “like the ending of the movie ‘The Big Lebowski’”
@KibaNezumi@kujaveil When Yin (feminine energy) is usually associated with chaos, darkness, and negative emotions while yang (masculine energy) is associated with light, order, and positive emotions. Still an odd character decision but not necessarily a baseless one.
@KibaNezumi@kujaveil Outside of the fact that Oda is a teensy bit misogynistic (I think he can still write good female characters but just like, hasn’t) I do have to give him some credit for this likely being based off the ideas of yin and yang. Having equal amounts of male and female vega’s (1/?)
@LukaDm19@naki_hito@SugoiLITE@d0nut2x In the novel? Yeah, absolutely. I stopped around the point of the second Olympic Games/tournament arc, because I found it so absolutely mind bogglingly boring
@LukaDm19@naki_hito@SugoiLITE@d0nut2x I’d say up to maybe chapter 4-500, because after that the story tends to repeat itself and it gets into a very boring cliche about how his blacksmith class was also “the second best swordsman behind the sword saint” or whatever.
@ProxyFreak Joseph is definitely an incredibly smart and intuitive character, though not nearly as much as people give him credit for. The reason he wins is because he’s able to formulate absolutely insane plans that would for anyone else never work, and get them to work because he’s him.
