So after months of being ignored by my @sageuk account manager I get a new one who is DEFINITELY going to look after us. Teams meeting for 07/02, pushed back to 10:00 this morning. No response. No reason. Been with @sageuk since ms-dos and green screen. That’s it. I’m done.
2/2. No obvious reason for refund not made so he sent off a ‘chase up’ request. No time scale on how long the ‘chasing up’ will take but if we want a progress report, guess what, we can spend another 55 minutes on hold….
55 minutes on hold to @HMRCgovuk VAT this morning. First client sorted quite easily. Then told that ‘for security reasons’ they could only discuss one client per call. Are they for real!! Complained and did get to talk about the other client which is a VAT refund not refunded.1/2
On hold for @HMRCgovuk VAT for 43 minutes and then that awful music stopped. Call still connected but the eerie silence is worse than the music. Is this a new @HMRCgovuk ploy so they don’t have to speak to you 🤷♀️
@HMRCcustomers Already done that. There is apparently nothing they can do our client just has to wait. I have told them that our client will not be paying any VAT due until the refund is sorted.
@HMRCgovuk A client is due a VAT refund from two months ago after spending quite a bit setting up a new business. It has been passed to another department for ‘checking’. That department is uncontactable and there is no time scale on repayment. But try paying @HMRCgovuk late.
It’s payroll year end and it would appear that @HMRCgovuk are messing about with the PAYE section of agent’s gateway. Yesterday I got CJRS info and SSP Rebate Scheme. Then it went back to ‘normal’. This morning I’m back to CJRS or payment history.
One hour and 13 minutes on hold to HMRC. One hour and 13 minutes of them telling me there’s help available on line - there’s not! One hour and 13 minutes of the dreadful ’on hold’ music. Then I’m told that all of their agents are busy and I may like to call back later - GOODBYE!!
10 days ago I sent Chancellor @Jeremy_Hunt a letter (below) asking him to postpone the govt's 20% increase in energy bills on 1 April.
Since, SEVENTY major charities (below), & the energy industry trade body have signed up to support the letter.

Driving to work this morning through #LowFell it was lovely to see open doors, lights on and welcoming windows. Good luck to all businesses re-opening today.

So! We will be closed from 5pm tonight (Thur) until 9am Tues 6th April.
