And we're back! Yesterday's math day with the 8's trick. Count down from 8 (double the 4) for the tens place, then add the ones places by skip counting from zero to 8 twice.
My daughter graduates fifth grade tomorrow. This is the definition of bittersweet for us. We have both been members of the CRES community for the last four years. I'm so proud of how well she has done and I did not take this situation for granted. Cheers to you JS!
Flag Day... and the final day of #TheFridayExperiment. The g2 and g5 students each wrote goodbye letters to each other and shared a meal. Being a part of this whole process has changed everyone involved for the better. So proud of my g5 "student instructors". #KidsTeachingKids
It's the first big fishing trip of bass season... East End time... breakfast stop at Grateful Deli. Then, hopefully a good day on the water follows. I missed this stuff last yr.
Very busy day in rm 114. G5 finished their "insects as food" research and got to eat bugs. One student used them as pizza topping! Yes... those are roasted crickets!
"Time for Pizza", g2 students used Judy clocks and a homemade gameboard (g5 helpers made it) to get to their real slice of pizza. #TheFridayExperiment (on wed).
