I want to contrast governments' policy and attitude towards smoking and climate change.
To stop people smoking, governments used full fear. You'll die of lung cancer. Showed people photos of diseased lungs of smokers, and even put them on cigarette packets.

"Smoke (or steam) is coming from the cracks, but it is likely that the hot water pipes have been damaged"
I've read that there is no hot water in #Grindavic, only cold....
This is interesting: “An old map of Grindavík from 1957 on the web https://t.co/UADOccmPRL shows an old crack (…) that goes through the whole town.
We compared this to a drone video (…) of the same area (today). The damage on (Austurvegur street) is on top of the old crack.”

📉 Arctic air will arrive in parts of North America this week, creating a huge temperature gradient and fuelling a powerful jet stream
⚠️ The interaction with this jet stream allows an area of low pressure to explosively deepen mid-week and become #StormCiarán
Thank you to all that came to the geography/classics trip to Sicily. The students were a credit to Cranleigh, excellent job Dr Hogg on a fantastic trip @cranleighschool
