Year 2 have had great fun investigating which materials are the most flammable. We built our houses last week and today discovered whether felt, wood, tissue paper, foil or cotton wool was the most flammable. Ask us to find out what material burnt the quickest! #science#lotc
Year 2 are learning about materials in science this term. We have been exploring the school grounds this week to see what things are made of. We’ve discovered some things can be made of many different materials. We have also been thinking about why each material might be used!
Year 1 have been learning about fractions of a shape. Today we went outside to ‘chop’ our shapes into halves. Then we challenged ourselves to ‘chop’ them into quarters! #LOTC#mathematicians#havingfun#halvesandquarters
We had a fantastic World Book Day last week with a visit from author Rachel Sherfield @MrsBlossomInfo who read us stories and taught us how she creates her illustrations. See the comments for photos of our creations. Best #WorldBookDay ever
Year 4, 5 and 6 came down to the infant site to read with Reception, Year 1 and 2. The little ones really look forward to seeing the big children #reading#sharing
