We can’t rely on courier companies to deliver for their workers, some of who are new comers vulnerable to exploitation. Gig workers’s rights is all workers rights. It’s time for Full and Equal Rights for Gig workers!
#mbgrassroots#wpgactivism#mbpoli#wpgpoli
Gig workers are workers too and they deserve the same rights afforded to any workforce. Amid the skyrocketing prices for food and transportation, they have no financial security for and susceptible to unfair treatment from employers.

No one should have to loose out on their income for putting the health of others and theirs first. But together we can prioritize workers’ health and safety. It’s time for 10 Paid Sick days in Manitoba!
#mbpoli#wpgpoli
The pandemic showed the lack of supports workers had in Manitoba. The majority of workers have no access to paid sick days on the job, forcing them to make the impossible decision of working sick to pay the bills or staying home to protect public health.
#TogtherWeCan
Inflation has hit record highs and wages are still being kept low. Research from our coalition partner, @ccpamanitoba, has been done and it’s clear, we need a wage higher than $15 in Manitoba.
#TogtherWeCan
Workers shouldn’t be forced to experience poverty when they’re working 40 hours/week. We’re struggling to keep our heads above water and provide for our families and ourselves. Together we can achieve a just recovery that leaves no one behind.
#CommunitySolidarity#mbgrassroots
It doesn’t have to be this way. With community advocates like @healthcareforallmb and @CFSMB we can make a change for those in vulnerable communities. It’s time for workers and students to have access to public healthcare. It’s time for Healthcare for All!
#CommunitySolidarity
There were numerous lessons to be learned as we rise from the Covid-19 pandemic. It revealed the cracks created by years of underfunding public services and many paid a dear price as a result.
#TogtherWeCan
Some of those significantly impacted were migrant workers and international students, who already lacked access to public healthcare before the pandemic, and continue to face barriers in the system and society.
#mbpoli#wpgpoli
Workers are struggling to meet basic needs. We demand:
•a liveable minimum wage
•at least 10 Paid Sick Days
•changes to make it easier for workers to join a union
•full & equal rights for gig workers
•Health Care for All, regardless of immigration status

We need paid sick days, which have been stripped away after pandemic measures were rolled back. We need to stop privatization, as the right strips away public services.
