The Colorful Backgrounds Program has graduated its first class of 2023.
During graduation, Melvin Hubbard El honored Terri Minor-Spencer + West End POWER for their work with Colorful Backgrounds by officially proclaiming May 23 as “West End POWER Day” in PGH.

The CSP at #CMU has been honored to partner with BEAM Collaborative in sponsoring the inaugural Equitable Purchasing Food Showcase in late June.
This event promoted 10 local, Black-owned businesses to join our community on campus and share some of their incredible product!

This event will be an hour-long panel moderated by Emma Folts, a journalist for Public Source focused on higher education. The panel will be followed by a reception with the panelists and catered by a local vendor. The event is co-sponsored by the CSP and the GSA.
