@PrettyMMAgirl@swillysports We can't keep punishing starters to empty the tank every start cuz our pen can't step up. Its not Jacks fault, or HC fault. With a 4 or 5 run lead and 9 outs to go, someone gotta step up and close the door.
@BeyondTheHalo All the more reason its a roster management issue more than a HC issue. You can't punish your starter asking him to empty the tank every start, its going to only lead to fatigue and mechanic issues. Then we lose a quality rising star to the 60-90 day IL
@BeyondTheHalo At 90 pitches, young, developing kid, he no longer is at his best 90 pitches in. Your pen is expected to make that close. Jack did his job, carried long as he could, but someone in the pen gotta step up and be the guy.
@BeyondTheHalo For his health and the longevity of the season you absolutely do. If we in the wild card or approaching September, sure different conversation. But atm, pulling him is the right move. We need DUDES to shut the door. And hope Joyce and Yates can come back and save the day.
@BeyondTheHalo This was Jacks 3rd game he approached 90 pitches before the 6th inning. Pulling him with a 5 run lead, with 9 outs left. Is 100% the right move for his health. And pro bullpen not able to get 9 outs with a 5 run lead is unacceptable. We need DUDES to shut the door. We just don't.
@danorlovsky7 I think it would cause more harm than good by letting him go even if it is for legit draft package and a good player. I believe how badly the Raiders were coached last year, makes the Raiders look worse than what they actually were as a roster.
@SportsCenter Taking Skubal to court over arbitration instead of paying him what he's really worth to turn around and do this, gotta be the most back handed slap to face pettiness I've ever seen from a front office.
@_Murf I'd like to believe in an alternate universe somewhere, Raiders kept Bisachia as the full time head coach, saving Mayock's job, leading to finally having a good draft and we have consistent winning seasons.
