Thank you for following @CTAflash through the years! As we wind down our social media activity, we invite you to continue to celebrate #CTALegacy and keep sharing knowledge that supports farmers in #Africa, #Caribbean and #Pacific 👉https://t.co/mqwvQSAAef
I am very happy with the engagement & participation to 60 @brubriefings which discussed agriculture & food systems. Excellent speakers, big audience, great partnership between @europeaid @PressACP @CONCORD_Europe & @CTAflash. https://t.co/NnhFhXGlB4
So pleased to join @CTABrussels at @PressACP final Policy Briefing #60 to discuss future of food and agricultural transformation. Such respect for CTA over the years, and real appreciation for support & work of @isolinaboto. Kudos. Successful Mission Over.
.@isolinaboto, coordinator of @brubriefings, is bringing the final event to a close here in Brussels. She points out that whilst the future of ag cannot be discussed in 1/2 day, the initiative has recorded a 100% satisfaction rate on the usefulness of the policy dialogues!
To close the panel session at the @brubriefings, @Marissa_C_Ryan of @OxfamEU recommends that the future #ACP-#EU partnership around agriculture adopts a cautious approach to working with the private sector, and ensures policy coherence for a holistic approach
The 60th @brubriefings on the future of food and agricultural transformation begins with @europeaid reminding delegates that farmers' organisations and women's organisations should be at the core of the agenda. Delighted to join the panel to bring the experience of @Oxfam 🙌
And some stats: 180 participants per briefing, 11,000 participants from more than 130 countries, and more than 350 organisations involved. An important and impactful initiative indeed #BBFutureFarming@brubriefings@CTAflash@PressACP@EU_Commission
The programming phase of the EU’s development cooperation 2021-2027 (MFF/NDICI) should guarantee that FNS and agriculture remain key intervention areas for EU development cooperation, including adopting a holistic approach on food systems.

Smallholder producers do not receive adequate recognition or political & financial support (local govt support). Public policy often biased towards industrial large scale agriculture - @Marissa_C_Ryan of @OxfamEU#BBFutureFarming
Private-sector cooperation and blended finance should not undermine the use of public funding targeted at reducing inequalities and creating an enabling environment for small-scale producers to thrive. - @Marissa_C_Ryan#BBFutureFarming
Technology has its place in aiding progress in Agriculture. Much discussion on climate resistant varieties, use of #blockchain & other digital techs to ensure quality & more. Tech played an impt role in Vanuatu’s ability to monitor illegal fishing - @LenIshmael#BBFutureFarming
Ambassador @LenIshmael : The Tourism industry mainly relies on food imports as opposed to accessing the local market. Despite many years – little success in supplying tourism demand from domestic production and value chains”
