2026 Kyiv recipe for a high level partnership meeting? Start with meaty topics, stir in a generous helping of networking + a pinch of improvisation. Add a great team, mix well + move everything underground. Thx to EU & partners discussing the breadth of @EUAM_Ukraine’s work.🇺🇦🇪🇺

[EUAM_Ukraine @EUAM_Ukraine]

EUAM Ukraine brings EU Member States and partners together in Kyiv, strengthening coordination and cooperation and reinforcing EU unity in support of Ukraine.

[Cornelia Taylor @ctaylor_EUAM]

Together with other Heads of Mission in Kyiv, we take note with concern of the Russian MFA’s threat against diplomats and foreign citizens in Ukraine.

Russia is bound by the Vienna Convention and International Humanitarian Law.

We stay in Kyiv.

🇪🇺 🤝 🇺🇦

[Cornelia Taylor @ctaylor_EUAM]

Indeed, we are here. And the work continues. 🇪🇺🇺🇦

Across Ukraine, @EUAM_Ukraine colleagues continue working alongside our Ukrainian partners — every day.

[Katarina Mathernova 🇪🇺 @kmathernova]

Russia has a message for foreign diplomats in Kyiv: leave, or risk your lives.

Our answer: We are staying.

The EU Delegation is staying.

Threatening us will not stop Europe’s support for Ukraine. It only reminds us why that support matters!

Pleased to meet Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi. As 🇺🇦 advances towards EU integration while responding to the demands of war, @EUAM_Ukraine will remain a close partner of @MVS_UA, supporting police reform, combating organised crime, and new priorities such as veterans’ reintegration.

[EUAM_Ukraine @EUAM_Ukraine]

@ctaylor_EUAM met Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi to discuss our long-standing cooperation with @MVS_UA.
EUAM UA will continue supporting reforms central to Ukraine’s EU path while responding to war-related needs, from combating organised crime to supporting veterans’ reintegration

@Ctaylor_EUAM, EUAM Head of Mission, & Igor Kusan, EUAM Veterans Support Unit Head, met Vitalii Kim, Minister of @mva_gov_ua, alongside @EUDelegationUA.

[Katarina Mathernova 🇪🇺 @kmathernova]

Held an open and substantive discussion between President @ZelenskyyUa & EU Ambassadors in Kyiv.

We spoke about Ukraine’s urgent needs: air defence, joint production, financial resilience, progress on EU accession and stronger sanctions pressure on Russia.

At a time when 🇺🇦 is fighting for its future every single day, direct dialogue, solidarity and European unity matter more than ever. 🇺🇦🤝🇪🇺

2/ Yuliya’s local paper serves 18,000 people in two communities in Sumy region. Just three women keep it going - 1,400 copies every week, plus online. Local news matter. I feel privileged to have had the window into their work. Thank you @EUDelegationUA for bringing us together.

[Cornelia Taylor @ctaylor_EUAM]

Yesterday I met local journalists from across 🇺🇦. I enjoyed telling them about @EUAM_Ukraine but I learned much more from them - about what it takes to keep people informed when there is a war, and advertising & the people to do the job are disappearing.

A glimpse of our work in Ukraine. My first visit to Dnipro: six train evacuations, air alerts and meetings in shelters. Deeply moved by the extraordinary determination of the people I met, despite the immense toll of this war. A powerful reminder of why our work matters. 🇺🇦

[EUAM_Ukraine @EUAM_Ukraine]

Quiet determination in the face of daily disruption.
On her first visit to Dnipro, Head of Mission @ctaylor_EUAM met prosecutors, police, forensic experts and veterans to hear directly about their challenges and needs, and how EUAM Ukraine can best support them.

[Cornelia Taylor @ctaylor_EUAM]

We spoke about hybrid threats, resilient + connected borders, rule of law, and the challenge of continuing institutional reform while Russia’s war places extraordinary pressure on Ukraine + its institutions.
These are not just 🇺🇦 challenges, but important lessons for Europe.

[Cornelia Taylor @ctaylor_EUAM]

Honoured to welcome @DavidCvach to Kyiv for his first visit in his new role. 🇺🇦 is confronting challenges that increasingly matter for Europe as a whole.

Our 🇺🇦 colleagues also shared with him directly what it means to deliver our work during the war.

Thank you for listening🤝

[Cornelia Taylor @ctaylor_EUAM]

Protecting rights even more important in times of war. Good to meet 🇺🇦Ombudsman @lubinetzs & hear first-hand about challenges his team faces. Glad that @EUAM_Ukraine can contribute in practical ways too–incl with power stations to keep reg'l offices working during power outages.

A fragment of russia’s war landed on our stage tonight.

I was opening an event with @alexanderdecroo @UNDPUkraine / Administrator in the courtyard of Saint Sophia’s Cathedral. An event dedicated to Ukrainian veterans. It was meant to be a beautiful evening about courage, community and the power of culture to help veterans return to civilian life.

Then the air-raid siren sounded.

A russian drone roared above us. Ukrainian defenders opened fire. Sounded like fireworks above our heads. We heard a deafening blast and explosions. You can hear and see them in the video.

The drone struck a five-storey office building in Kyiv’s Podilskyi district, several kilometres away. Preliminary reports say it was the second strike on the same building today.

When we returned, the host found a small metal fragment on the stage and handed it to me.

The veterans still performed a play based on the personal story of Volodymyr Tuka. Volodymyr was a circus performer. He lived through the russian occupation of Kherson. Then he joined the Armed Forces, was wounded and returned to civilian life. But how does a soldier live afterwards?

For years, I have admired the extraordinary ability of Ukrainians to fight, suffer and still create. To sing, perform and find beauty while defending their country. Tonight, russia tried to trample even that.

In response to escalating attacks such as today’s, cultural gatherings have been cancelled.

But our answer cannot be fear or surrender.

The European Commission 🇪🇺 recently approved another 6.1 billion for Ukraine’s air and missile defence. Tonight showed exactly why this support is so urgently needed.

There is only one answer to russian terror: help Ukraine defend its skies, protect its people and never surrender to tyranny!

🇪🇺🤝🇺🇦

2/2 We arrived 2 hrs late in a city where war permeates everyday life. On the platform a soldier in civilian clothes, waiting for his girlfriend with flowers. He proposed. She sobbed. Strangers applauded.
The horror of war. And the way it makes love + life matter so much more.💔

[Cornelia Taylor @ctaylor_EUAM]

1/2 Reality in Ukraine. After a night of heavy Russian attacks, spent in a shelter instead of our scheduled night train, we finally left an almost dystopian Kyiv at dawn—smoke hanging over the skyline, the sun an eerie orange through the haze.
Our train east was evacuated twice.
