More than 50,000 Connecticut residents lost SNAP benefits since the passage of H.R.1, and it is unclear what the USDA is doing to ensure these families don’t fall deeper into hunger.
Grateful for the actions taken by Gov. Lamont to keep CT families fed.
There were multiple votes tonight to make the $1.8 billion cop beater fund illegal and Republicans blocked every single one, paving the way for Trump to resuscitate his slush fund.
This is the type of candidate that UConn College Republicans support.
The College Democrats of Connecticut (CDCT) call on UConn Republicans to immediately withdraw their endorsement and condemn this disgraceful and hateful behavior.
This is a good idea, @SenatorDuff. And we should invest any revenue into the new fund we created supporting the families of fallen police officers killed in the line of duty. Let's discuss. https://t.co/zETI4WtnJB
No excuse? No problem. I just signed a bill to ensure every single Connecticut voter has the option to vote by absentee ballot! 🗳️
We are making voting more accessible, strengthening election integrity, and keeping federal agents 250 feet away from polling places.
Trump's corruption has reached an entirely new level. The $1.7 billion slush fund is just outright theft. And no Republican owes such bind allegiance to the president to defend this.
Trump rambled for nearly an hour about tariffs on Taiwanese semiconductors and running for a third term, but couldn’t bother to stay and actually shake the hand of each graduating USCGA Cadet.
Donald Trump disrespected the achievement of every graduating USCGA cadet in New London today with the same kind of incoherent rant we’ve seen at MAGA campaign rallies.
Will @RyanFazio speak up for the cadets or pretend Trump acted Presidential?
It's hard to keep track of Trump's corruption schemes, but here's the most dangerous one.
Trump is suing the federal government (himself!) for billions in payments (to himself!) and when the courts say no, he tells the parties (both him!) to settle.
Confusing? Let me explain.
On #PoliticsNation last night, I spoke with Ned Lamont about Connecticut’s new legislation aimed at protecting residents from civil rights violations tied to immigration enforcement.
Governor Lamont discussed the urgency behind the bill following the detention of a Connecticut high school student by ICE agents, and outlined new protections involving schools, houses of worship, courthouses, and the right for citizens to pursue legal action when their rights are violated.
We also discussed the climate of fear surrounding immigration enforcement, voting rights, and economic insecurity facing working families across the country. As the governor said, people cannot allow fear to stop them from participating in democracy or standing up for their rights.
Trump on Iran War:
Reporter: What extent are Americans’ financial situation motivating you to make a deal?
Trump: Not even a little bit. I don't think about Americans’ financial situation
Trump makes everything worse.
Remember when diesel went up 9¢? CT Republicans lost their minds about how much it would cost you, the person who never buys diesel. They're quiet about Trump's War, and doubling down on volatile, costly fossil fuels forever

When I took office, Connecticut needed a comeback. So we rolled up our sleeves and got it done. Increased wages, paid family leave, and an improved state economy with so much more to build on! #TeamLamont#NedforCt
