@BillBarclay It was your explanation as to why that didn’t make sense. “Because they made you fall in love with the game again” may make them special to you, but doesn’t make them iconic. I then trolled you by intentionally using a word completely unrelated to the subject of my response.
@BillBarclay If I really have to explain it...
1. I’m not Australian
2. “Icon/ic” in this instance means a person or thing regarded as a representative symbol. Your irons aren’t “iconic”. They’ve been out what, 3 years? But if that’s your opinion, completely fine.
@stephaniexo33 People are so ignorant. The fact is, the Cowboys beat those “bad teams” BADLY. Which is exactly what really good teams do. Beat the bad teams by a mile, beat good teams also, and fight it out with the other “really good” teams. Mediocre teams like the Eagles should be scared.
@jake_p84 I must have watched it at least 6 times. He has his usual arrogant demeanor, but I didn’t see any “death stare”. At least not anything bad enough to spurn such an outrage. 🤷🏻♂️
@DarrenC347@MsBaseballTx@Moose2pointzero Something that also exists in every other civilized nation, including the ones that don’t have weekly mass shootings, which again is all of them...except for the United States.
@MsBaseballTx@DarrenC347@Moose2pointzero I’ll take culture for $200. Guns in excess with reckless abandon and a very loose regulatory grip is very much engrained in American culture.
@MsBaseballTx@DarrenC347@Moose2pointzero We don’t have any more of a mental health problem than any other civilized country. Including ones with far lower gun homicide rates and stricter gun laws, which is all of them.
@DarrenC347@Moose2pointzero@MsBaseballTx And neither would an outright ban of a firearm/s. I get it. One of the reasons I don’t support it. But what we’re doing now (which is nothing) just isn’t working.
@DarrenC347@Moose2pointzero@MsBaseballTx ...but we’re heading in the right direction. This (guns) is a public safety issue. And for the record I don’t agree in an outright ban, but a solution where less of these weapons would be on the streets and in the hands of unqualified civilians. I just think enough is enough.
@DarrenC347@Moose2pointzero@MsBaseballTx Sure. So do you think we should? Drunk driving is a serious public safety issue that we addressed and continue to work on. Haven’t alcohol related motor vehicle fatalities decreased by 31% over the last couple of decades? That work obviously isn’t finished...
@DarrenC347@Moose2pointzero@MsBaseballTx Wether it’s just one or 20, how is it not worth it? Also, where do tog draw the line on not enforcing laws you don’t agree with? Because I know cops that do that regularly. So does it only apply to a moral political agenda?
@DarrenC347@Moose2pointzero@MsBaseballTx However it’s not based solely emotional response, but limiting potential damage of future mass shootings. If a shooter is forced to carry out their sick act with a knife or handgun or truck, rather than a weapon with a higher rate of fire, it WILL save lives.
