All Scottish governments have abdicated responsibility to trusts, lotteries and quangos. There is no clear funding strategy, no ring-fenced budget or lottery and no due diligence on the impact of removing funds. Just more hoops to jump in return for less support for young people.

It is an emerging crisis if existing funders of preventative youth work interventions, choose to see youth work as optional. Young people will lose out and communities will suffer.
