If you've traveled to other sporting events in other cities, you probably encountered awesome venues near the stadiums called Live! KC, Arlington, and Atlanta just to name a few. I believe Houston should have one as well. And the Astrodome seems like a perfect fit!

this is the most accurate take on Nike ive seen today. they went all in on the SNKRS app and direct to consumer under Donahoe and literally pulled their products from Foot Locker, Dicks, DSW and Macys. Foot Locker went from getting 75% of its revenue from Nike to actively diversifying away from them. all that shelf space went straight to Hoka, On, New Balance and Adidas. and those brands didnt just fill the space they built real communities around it. meanwhile an entire generation of kids got tired of taking Ls on the SNKRS app and just went and bought a pair of New Balance 550s or Adidas Sambas instead. Nike flooded the market with the same Dunks AF1s and Jordan 1s for years, quality went down with cheaper materials and smaller air bubbles, and consumers noticed. now theyre trying to crawl back to wholesale but the damage is done. direct to consumer sales fell 8% last quarter because even that strategy stopped working. you cant abandon your customers for a decade and then expect them to come running back when you finally decide you need them again
