There, they will luxuriate in five-star resorts enjoying the warmth of the tropics, while lecturing the world about the evils of affordable energy, reducing international air travel, and taking "real action" to stop "global warming"

This is not mere waste — it is an obscene, tone-deaf insult to every struggling household forced to choose between heating and eating.

Bowen’s department has locked in luxury accommodation at places like the Sheraton, Sofitel, and Radisson for a pre-COP31 junket, complete with eye-watering room rates that ordinary Aussies could never dream of.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

While families freeze and energy hardship cases soar under Labor’s policies, Bowen’s climate circus jets around the globe, business class of course, preaching sacrifice that they themselves will never make.

And what’s telling is this shameless splurge is being largely ignored by the ABC and the broader media ecosystem that enjoys generous taxpayer handouts from the Albanese government.

When the press that is supposed to hold power to account is itself on the payroll, accountability dies — and the public gets left in the dark, both literally and figuratively.

A functioning democracy can only survive with fiercely independent media that ruthlessly holds the government to account.

No — they’ve gone further and brazenly hijacked Australia’s democracy with their sleazy $74 million “Journalism Assistance Fund” — a filthy slush fund of public money that Albanese is personally slinging to his mates in the media.

This is nothing less than wholesale bribery of the press.
