Mask on or mask off? Suddenly, the US and many other countries have adopted a common practice used in everyday life of many Asian countries: mask wearing. Unfortunately the mask wearing recently has not been a cultural adoption, but an enforced accessory to prevent the COVID-19
pandemic. Public responses to masks greatly differ as masks can be uncomfortable or simply appear embarrassing. In a recent study, Tateo explored the role of face masks in the meaning-making processes of the individual dealing with COVID-19, including different ages and cultures.
