You are comparing a woman with a successful legal and political career to the President of the United States in an attempt to shame, mock, or disparage her, and yet you call yourselves progressive.
For people who constantly speak about equity, inclusion, and empowering women, it is remarkable how quickly those principles disappear when a woman holds views you do not like.
Apparently, some women are to be celebrated as strong and accomplished, while others are reduced to insults, stereotypes, and personal attacks. The victimhood and equity cards seem to be played only when they are politically convenient.
You are not challenging her ideas. You are attempting to diminish her personally.
That is not progressivism. It is hypocrisy. And I hope more people are starting to see it for what it is.
@CriticalLib@Gerry39464526 Your attitude is a prime example of why the “little movement” as you call it will never end. Canada as you knew it has failed it’s citizens, and you’re dear leader has expedited the sentiment across the country. Nothing says leadership like buying a majority then losing it
@DanielHuculak@Gerry39464526@MaximeBernier the PPC activist base (Max included) has turned most conservatives against them with extremely toxic, blatant lies and unfounded unverifiable smears.
I love the idea of the PPC and truly believed in them 2 cycles ago, I can not any longer. And I know far far more that feel as I
@DanielHuculak@Gerry39464526@MaximeBernier Been there done that….. I helped campaign for them 2 elections ago…. Max is unelectable, everyone knows this or or is living in an echo chamber, he has the ability to say absolutely anything he wants as he’ll never be in power to need to act on any of it.
@TheHonkamaniac@Gerry39464526 Supporting independence and supporting the right to vote for independence are close but not the same thing, as far as I know he has only done the latter

@StrochimT@spirit_baer@albertaNDP@nenshi In your last point we are in complete agreement.
I can’t speak to the anecdotal incidents, but abhorrent regardless of the circumstance…. Ppl can be evil for sure, when it’s your government doing evil acts against its citizens it’s worse, that’s how we feel about the feds
It’s reassuring to enter into a discussion on opposing sides and after a few back n forths bring the temperature down and have civil discourse, this should be ALL of our objectives.
@albertaNDP take note.
@StrochimT@spirit_baer@albertaNDP@nenshi Agreed 100%, I give what I get
Or I defend against what was given to others. Civil discourse should always be the objective
@StrochimT@spirit_baer@albertaNDP@nenshi If that’s the case….. and I don’t necessarily think you’re wrong on this, what’s up with the unhinged hostility to anyone that supports independence?? Wouldn’t discussions like this be more beneficial to both sides….. regardless of the outcome we all still need to coexist.
@StrochimT@spirit_baer@albertaNDP@nenshi Annnnnnd what was ForeverCanada’s question…….
Oh right…. Do you want to remain in Canada (paraphrased obviously)
Don’t get me wrong…. Nobody thinks the question to ask a future question isn’t stupid AF and the wording equally as such, but it’s what we got.
