They are no longer the Labour Party, they are the Welfare Party. It doesn’t matter who is in charge of these people, the party for Benefits Street will tax us all into poverty to pay for more welfare.
Pat McFadden has said in private what he and the Prime Minister deny in public. As I’ve said repeatedly, Labour MPs don’t understand where money comes from. They think our taxes are their money to spend, rather than the result of the hard work of the people in our country who deserve so much better.
The Conservative party is the only party holding Labour to account, as Reform, Lib Dems the SNP and others join Labour in demanding the state pay more and more benefits.
The Mandy Files — 2. May 2025
Another zinger from Cabinet Minister Pat McFadden to Mandelson:
‘Every meeting I have is “who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others”. They’re asking the wrong questions.’
Wow! Just wow!!
Confirmation in today's release of the Mandelson Files from Pat McFadden, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, that the primary motivation of the Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) is to tax productive people to funnel money to those on benefits.
We have been saying this for a long time but it's good to have clear evidence from a cabinet minister that it is indeed true.
Working for Keir Starmer is now one of the most dangerous occupations in the UK. There are few known survivors.
Olly Robbins is just the latest fatality.
All sacrificed to divert from a reality we can all see -our country deserves so much better than this man as our Prime Minister.
Keir Starmer has now sacked everyone involved in Mandelson’s appointment - Chris Wormald, Morgan McSweeney, Olly Robbins.
But Starmer was ultimately the one who approved it. He’s got no one left to sack. It’s time for him to take responsibility. He should go.
It is preposterous for Starmer to claim he did not know Mandelson failed security vetting.
If the Prime Minister doesn’t know what’s happening in his own office, he shouldn’t be in charge of our country.
He should go.
The Prime Minister appointed Peter Mandelson before the vetting had been completed, vetting Mandelson failed.
Starmer then said full due process was followed. THAT is misleading Parliament.
I'm only holding him to the same standards to which he’s held previous Prime Ministers - that if they mislead parliament, they should resign.
In these dangerous times, Britain cannot afford to have a Prime Minister who the country doesn't trust. Starmer has betrayed our national security. He should go.
"Britain will still need gas well into the foreseeable future" 👍
If I made this statement of the bleeding obvious I would be accused of being a "right-wing fossil fuel lobbyist"... 😉
But the writer, this time, is the chief executive of @RenewableUK!

@EdwardJDavey Well said. I think all those who have gong and titles and who were caught up in scandals that damaged others should lose them. So when are you giving up your title, given your role in the Post Office scandal?
CHAGOS SURRENDER UPDATE
Labour has just pulled Monday’s vote in the House of Lords. The @Conservatives had put out a three-line Whip - an exceptional step in the Upper House, taken perhaps once every three or four years - and ministers evidently concluded that their Bill would fall.
We have secured a breathing space. It is now up to Trump and the people around him. If the president sticks to what he said this week, the deal is off. If he allows himself to be talked around by the State Department’s permanent officials, it will come back.
In any event, the man who deserves credit for winning the parliamentary battle, almost completely outside the public eye, is Lord @MartinCallanan, who led for the Tories. In terms of procedure, he played an absolute blinder, drawing things out expertly to give opponents time to organise.
I am proud of all those who were involved in the campaign, especially Claire and the @GreatBritishPAC. And, most of all, of the Chagossians themselves. Thank you. Mersi ek felisitasion
It is, I admit, a humiliating thing for Britain that the final decision should be in the hands of our American allies. We ought to have put a stop to the whole business ourselves.
Still, for the first time in 14 months, I am starting to think we might win.

👏Lord Gove (@michaelgove) reminds the House that their duty is to scrutinise the actual legislation laid before them, rather than discerning the general will of the public and seeking to enact it.
The assisted suicide Bill is simply not fit for purpose.
I’m not allowed to say it in Parliament, but I can here: today the Prime Minister lied and lied and lied again. And he did so to smear a man defending our veterans in court against the Labour government.
Labour have attacked everyone from farmers, to businesses, to veterans, so now they attack David Wolfson, a brilliant KC, to take the attention away from their terrible decisions.
I’m proud to have David in my team. He doesn’t deserve to have his name smeared by low-rent politicians trying to distract from their own failures.
What little integrity the Prime Minister held he surrendered with that shameful performance today.
"You said you wanted to ‘turn a corner’ in 2026, but instead you seem to have turned your back on the views you used to hold dear."
My letter to the Prime Minister ⬇️
If you want to rejoin the EU, you are asking that the folks below effectively run our country
They are the European Commissioners
But can you identify any of them?
Why do you want to surrender to them?
You cannot vote them in or out. And they don't give a **** about you
Lord Wolfson has nothing to do with Chelsea FC proceeds. That’s already on the record.
While you play politics, he’s acting pro bono in the Supreme Court defending veterans your Government abandoned.
Correct the record.
