Seeing as it's that time of week, here's a quick throwback trains-day to the project presentations, and our proof that Trevor trundles nicely along the tracks! #Tbt#trevorthetrain#coolerthanFS
Had a fantastic time presenting Trevor (our first bogie) on Friday at the project presentations viva. Great to see so much interest in the project and to recruit potential team members for future years!
Jessica 'The Grafter' Rafter uses some dubiously sourced crimp clips in the NI lab. A true daredevil, the only safety precaution taken when working with extreme voltages are the 'lucky dungarees'
Eyes glossy with crazed ambition, resident drill man @HattonJon professes to his teammates that he won't stop drilling until he reaches oil. It'll be a sleepless night for the Saudi oil Barron's as they watch their kingdom crumble #greenpower
It's all coming together! Space frame almost complete and our lightweight aluminium honeycomb floor is back from the routers. Looking forward to completing assembly over Easter break and moving into the test phase. #greenpower#cugreendragon
All in a mornings work for the boys. Quality inspector Sam King checks all tolerances are tight, with his companions offering unwavering support to their teammate
Chris Ryan proving his irreplaceable worth to the team with a technical sketch even Da Vinci would be proud of. A synergy of pragmatism and creativity unseen amongst the ranks of rival teams #greenpower#cardiffuni
Are you a current 3rd year engineering student at Cardiff, who's wondering what projects to get involved in for your fourth and final year?

After some technical difficulties with our motor controllors (as experiments don't always go to plan!), the rig is back up and running, this time donning a PEEK gear!
It's been a fantastic week for the team, with the chassis for our first bogie assembled, the motors attached and electronics running in just a couple of days!
Also don't forget to submit your entries for the naming competition, it closes on 1st April so only 2 weeks left...
