The City of Bulawayo yesterday warmly received the newly crowned Miss Intercontinental Zimbabwe Miss Virginia Tlou Nyambe. She was received by His Worship Senator David Coltart, the Mayor represented by Councillor Ntombizodwa Khumalo, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Hon Raj Modi and the Town Clerk Mr Christopher Dube.

Miss Intercontinental Zimbabwe is a prestigious national beauty pageant title awarded to a Zimbabwean representative to compete at the globally recognized Miss Intercontinental World finals.

The Mayor remarked on the incredible achievement accomplished by Miss Nyambe saying she has risen as a symbol of hope, ambition, and inspiration for Bulawayo and Zimbabwe at large. Her victory was not only a personal triumph, but a national celebration that places Zimbabwe firmly on the global stage of excellence.

Hon Modi said he was proud of the achievement and highlighted that this should be an inspiration that there is no dream too big or too small to achieve. He added that Miss Nyambe should carry the win with pride and honor her new role.

The Town Clerk Mr Dube encouraged the residents to support the new Miss Intercontinental Zimbabwe and give her the full support for her new journey.

Miss Nyambe said that she will serve as an inspiration and will raise the profile of the City on the global stage. She added that she was also grateful for the love and support being shown to her.
