@booklovinggal Though the funeral homes were aghast, my parents are in plastic boxes on a book shelf with our cats’ ashes all around them. I know they would appreciate it. There is no right.

@booklovinggal I’ve been through “no will, multiple kids”, “no will, one kid and having my name on everything in advance”, and my hubs’ parents “lots of kids, rock solid trust.” There are still always complications. I advise consulting your friend’s cousin’s hairdresser’s estate attorney!
