I was today years old when I learned that LPG dealerships are allotted as per the central reservation policy.

SC/ST: 22.5%, OBC: 27%. 50.5% is Open category, where anyone can apply, and the dealership is awarded through a draw of lots to eligible people.

So basically, if your dealer doesn’t give you LPG, don’t pick a fight with them. Who knows, you may or may not get the gas, but you might end up inside under the Atrocities Act.

Forget Ajeet Bharti. Forget Skin Doctor. Forget the people loudly active in the UGC activism space. Maybe they are opportunists, maybe they are minting money from the issue

Do you believe laws should treat citizens differently based on caste?

If your answer is no, then

Are you asking your political leaders to change it? Are your leaders themselves working to make the system more equal?

Most politicians across parties have either remained silent or openly supported such laws. That tells that this issue is not a priority for them. And if it is not a priority for them, will they change it?

Unlikely.

If the current political class has no incentive to change the system, then the logical conclusion is to find a new set of leaders who are willing to challenge it.

But then comes the uncomfortable question: Are people actively supporting or building such leadership?

In most cases, no.

So if someone actually raises this issue and tries to make it a political agenda, will you support them, or will you dismiss them like the others?
