The problem with the Telegram ban is that the same logic can be applied to almost anything in the future.

Paper leak on Telegram, ban Telegram. Rumour mongering on WhatsApp, ban WhatsApp. Private photos leaked on Instagram, ban Instagram. Scam call on phone, ban telecom. Fake document made on laptop, ban laptops.

Growth before 2020 wasn't exactly going great. Not even 7% without any crisis under full force of globalisation.
