@FurtherEdagogy @amy_woodrow1 I agree, teacher's shouldn't feel uncomfortable, however QA is there to judge them on professional standards. You can tell if a teacher has prepared & rehearsed a lesson or not. Our QA process has a pre-visit ice breaker to meet those that will be assesed & help provide guidance.

@FurtherEdagogy @amy_woodrow1 Disagree. Quality should'nt be involved with the process. Support & constructive criticism yes. Teacher prepares & delivers lesson in the format they feel is the most appropriate to their students. Quality don't know your students, but you should. Quality identifies improvement

@MajJimCrompton @FurtherEdagogy 100% agree this should be supportive but will clearly include some areas to consider for improvement. Don't be too sensitive to recieve this advice either subtle or blatant. It is always clear if you have or haven't prepared for a lesson. #dontbealazyteacher

I guarantee that me & you would find fault with each other even though our intent is the same. Every lesson should be different to reflect the audience. A scripted lesson to satisfy an OFSTED insp is wrong.

@FurtherEdagogy I've been teaching since 2000. I understand both sides, the teaching & assurance piece incl OFSTED, It should not be feared. It is intended to be supportive & provide a tool to improve indivduals, if that now incl online obs then so be it, indv will adjust. Top tip, be honest.
