Only traders care about this price action. Investors are looking at a company growing 15xfaster than the P/E with a .15 PEG, insane free cash flow, great capEX, back to 2030, contracts into 2029 while maintaining profit margins. Literally NO company is performing like Micron. Real investors don’t give a crap about the moving averages, candles or stochastics. Micron is the type of company a true investor wants to be a part of and own right now. PERIOD!!
@JEFETRADES Forget the price action - Micron is a company you want to own. There is no company on the exchange operating at Micron’s level. Its PEG ratio is off the charts. It’s only a matter of a little time before real investors jump in.
@barstoolsports I think this weekend has shown it is time to get rid of the referees. All AI and instant replay reviews. It would be faster, fair and correct.
@MartyMcRide That’s not a prediction, that is a hallucination!! If they could only score 7 points against Western Michigan, how are they going to score 21 against OU?
As of the Sept. 4, 2026 close:
Micron (MU): about $1,017 per share, market cap roughly $1.1 trillion
SanDisk (SNDK): about $1,740 per share, market cap roughly $255 billion
SanDisk has only ~146 million shares
Micron has on the order of 1.08 billion.
The market is not pricing them as equals. It is pricing two different businesses inside the same AI-memory boom.
Micron is a full-stack memory IDM. It is vertically integrated company and controls its own manufacturing. This requires large investments in Fabs/manufacturing & R&D. This operating model is more costly than farming out manufacturing like SanDisk. The company has already booked more than $1B of HBM4 revenue and has said 2026 & 2027 HBM is sold out.
SanDisk is a NAND / flash-storage company. It is a spin-off of WD and has not been in business for a year yet. It partners with other companies who manufacture its products. This is a much lower operating cost model but also has many operational disadvantages including no control over its manufacturing process, less cost control of manufacturing and supply chain problems.
The only place the companies overlap are NAND/SSDs and Micron has a technological & market share advantage in those areas as well.
Bottom line: SanDisk’s reported ROE/FCF conversion can look better in the short-term precisely because it does not carry Micron’s fab depreciation and expansion load. The Market is putting most of Micron’s extra quality into a much larger market cap, while SanDisk’s higher share price is mostly fewer shares plus a violent NAND rerating.
If the question is “which company is the better industrial franchise?” — Its Micron. If it continues to meet or beat its guidance for the next two years, it will have a $3Trillion+ market cap. So, I believe it is one of the best “values” in the market now.
@ClayTravis Agreed. And, actually Zero is zero. Any increments of time no matter how small are between 1 and Zero- not after zero. The clock was at zero before the ball was touched…period! Even though this bad call changed the outcome, Michigan and the NCAA lost more than the game.
SNDK is not really a competitor of MU. They are addressing different markets. MU is moving away from the market SNDK is in because of lower margins. MU is technologically well beyond SNDK and is now developing next gen HBM and NAND that would take SNDK years to develop and money that they do not have.
@Tickertalk1 If MU meets or beats it's guidance for this quarter and next quarter, and the share price is $1500 at the end of the year, the estimated P/E ratio would be 17.6 - still below industry averages...
@Tickertalk1 I would be more worried if they were not spending aggressively. MU is the best value in the market and that is going to continue even if the stock price goes to $1600 by the end of the year.
Right now MU PEG is .03 because it has had 700% growth. That is an anomaly but the 5 year PEG is estimated at .14 which is also amazing. That means MU is a cheap stock at the moment. If it hits its numbers forecasted for 27-28, it will be a $3T-$5T company. I don’t know what the stock price will be but I do know it is a value now.
@JUST_KAWS Market manipulation to allow large investors & institutions to load up. Watch what happens over the next 3 weeks. Same pattern every quarter.
@BillBrooklyn10 Hi Bill, I’m following you. Curious about this company. Always looking for a new investment opportunity. I’m currently heavily invested in MU, NVIDA and Google. Small amounts in AMD, Amazon, & Broadcom
