As Catholics, we have long maintained that the See of Peter was given to the faithful in order to safeguard the unity and orthodoxy of the Holy Church. The Bishop of Rome was crowned with three crowns representing his status as Vicar of Christ, Father of Kings and Princes, Ruler of the World. This declaration established the primacy of spiritual authority over secular authority. Thus, myself and others have commissioned a new Papal Tiara as a gift to his holiness as an outward sign of our devotion to the Holy Catholic Church and to commemorate the election of our first American born Pontiff. It is my hope to that it may be presented to his Holiness when he comes to visit the United States.
