What if we didn’t transfer the money?

One culture shock I have witnessed here in the North is how trusting people are.

Today, we went to a filling station to buy fuel for the car and we needed to do transfer. Suddenly, none of the bank apps were working because the network was terrible.

The fuel attendant, whom we had never met before and in fact, we had never bought fuel at that station before, told us he could sell the fuel to us, and we could pay him when we got home.

It felt very strange to me.

'Standing on existing protocol’ is a Nigerian ceremonial phrase. Internationally, it sounds unusual.

Use ‘With due respect to all protocols’ to sound formal.

DO CHURCHES STILL GIVE FOOD TO FIRST-TIMERS?

Back in my university days, I had a friend who was known for this.

Whenever she was broke, she would dress up and attend a new church every Sunday as a first-timer.

She always came back with food.😆

It was hilarious to me at the time, but honestly, it was a very lucrative arrangement.

It ensured that undergraduates were well fed every Sunday, and sometimes even had provisions to last for the next day or two.

I am genuinely curious.

Do our churches still do this today?
