@BarnsleyFC Just remember that when all those retards that clap players off, defend the board, arselick the club for free shirts and merchandise, that we have once again endured another awful season of managed decline. Flatman out, dodgy crynes out, neerav out and supporters trust out.
@Matt_Bailey1575@PaulBeaman4 When you lay it out like that Matt I can see where it comes from, BUT you are bigger than rising to it. Don’t let it eat at you, there are a lot of us who have fallen out of the love with the Club, it’s a shambles from the top down. Try and smile and embrace the memories.
@AlfieKuy@BarnsleyFC Agree totally.
Orient was one of the worst displays I’ve ever seen from a Barnsley keeper.
If Stevenage had managed to get more on target they’d have beaten us by a country mile.
@jackfb46@bfcharri@BarnsleyFC I’m a boyhood fan too, but it doesn’t make me anywhere near good enough to play in goal in League One. He has potential, but not at this level.
@necrodeathhead@BarnsleyFC It was nothing to do with Flavell.
Northampton were awful
We could have played running goalie or goalie when needed and recorded a clean sheet tonight.
This is how a Chairman should behave, not occasionally turn up with a box fresh scarf conveniently draped around his neck spouting BS and platitudes. Impressive statement from @KevinNagleMLS - do you have any friends who’d be interested in buying @BarnsleyFC ?
I don’t need to tell any of you, our supporters, that today was absolutely unacceptable…..as we near the end of a season that was incredibly disappointing.
Though I have been advised to wait until after our final match to say this publicly, I’m not big on being “handled”……
I am the Chairman and the blame lies with me ultimately, and I don’t want to wait another second to let you know how disappointed I am.
I am not interested in the blame game.
Blame me.
That’s fine, I’m the one in the big chair.
We have secured the stadium.
We have re-invigorated our Academy at great cost, so that we may reap the benefits in our future.
We just watched our Town Women play the type of football and achieve the type of success I wish our Men’s team emulated.
But wishing vs reality are two different things.
So here it is:
No more flashy promises.
After this statement, no more flashy words.
We, starting with myself, David Threlfall-Sykes, and our staff, will work day and night this offseason to get it right.
In 3 years, I’ve come to know the football you want to see.
And it’s the same football I want to see.
Big, physical, front footed, aggressive, and able to hold leads late in the match.
But MOST IMPORTANTLY, players that play for the badge on the FRONT, not the name on the back.
I have, as you know, spent a ton of money on players the last 3 years, that isn’t the issue.
But going forward:
We will be smart. We will be tactical.
We will bring players in to fit our system, not move the system to fit our players.
There is nothing I can say to you at this point, no magic wand I can wave to make it right. At this point, actions and RESULTS are all that matter.
There are some both within and outside this organization that will be rubbed the wrong way by this statement, and frankly I don’t care.
My responsibility is to YOU, the supporter, to ensure we have done all we can do make your trip home from the Accu Stadium on matchday a pleasant and satisfying journey.
I will be watching, (as will our front office team), next weekend’s match very carefully.
We will see who is playing for the shirt…..and who is ready to go on vacation.
Thank you, and as always your continued support means everything.
We will get there, or we will die trying.

Sormaz was allowed put us back more than Conway did. He must be up there with the hiring of the 2 PE teachers as the worst decision made by the Board.
Who advises them on footballing matters?
What an astonishing decision by Uni boy
Incredible on reflection to think we went into playoffs with Devaney as a better option than man who’d managed all season. I know we weren’t in great shape and football was a bit, yer know, bland but even so
@noevidenceleft I’d add classless too.
They’re a disparate collection of individuals with no affinity at all with the fans.
Our Club is more than wearing a scarf or parading around, spewing platitudes, in a red jumpsuit.
The state of our Club laid out in one simple statement.
I’m presuming Neerav’s hat is Ronnie Moore’s old one …. although Ronnie never deserved to wear it, I’d have had in a red shirt all day long. Class player and all round top man.
“Conor's going to be here next year even if he's inconsistent because I think he can drive this club forward. I'll hang my hat on that.”
- Neerav Parekh, January 2026, fans forum.
@KieranBarrett96 I reckon he did, but they’d also have lied to him with the old “we’ll back you” BS, like they always do.
Add him to the list of the others who’ve walked :
Robins
Hecky
Ismael
Struber
Duff
Barnsley have a fantastic fanbase who the Board have taken for granted for 20 years.
