Heartfelt Congratulations to Prof. Omar Yaghi as one of the recipients of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. JACS is proud of his long-standing service to the community as both Associate and Executive Editor as well as a first-rate scientist @UCBerkeley@UCB_Chemistry
Organizers @mvkovalenko,Grigorios Itskos & @M_Bodnarchuk kick off #EMLEM25@nanoGe_Conf with inspiring opening remarks!
Ready to dive into Perovskite, III-V & Zn-Chalcogenide QDs, IR-emissive nanomaterials, Metal Halides and 2D light-emitting materials

At #EMLEM25, Zeger Hens @ugent and Sohee Jeong @CutieQd present:
👉 Advances in quantum dots for visible color conversion & optoelectronics.
👉 A new method to control doping polarity in nanocrystals, enhancing efficiency and stability in IR devices.

This paper demonstrates for the first time that the molten salt can be a media to synthesize quantum dots. This paper also presents the first luminescent colloidal GaAs quantum dot. Redox chemistry is a powerful tool to achieve this nice materials! https://t.co/xGtdmbnnNr

A rare account from our Nobel Chemistry Prize Laureate. If Dot-com and Telecomm crash didn't happen, I'm sure research would be much better.
⏰Last call for oral abstract submission!
🟡Join leading scientists at The Emerging Light Emitting Materials Conference #EMLEM24@nanoGe_Conf and present your latest research!
📍Crete, Greece
🗓️16th-18th October 2024
🔗Submit your oral abstract here: https://t.co/lNo0Ll8Mc2
Dear Colleagues, summer is busy, but do not forget to submit your abstracts for the EMLEM 2024 conference.
Deadline for orals is 11th July, and posters - are in September.

The conference itself: mid-October
EMLEM brings together researchers loving to work on materials that generate light, in the visible or infrared, or those studying related phenomena.
October is the best time to enjoy the beautiful Greek island of Crete. Remember, this is where Princess Europa (after whom our continent is named), initially abducted by Zeus from Tyre, brought to the world King Minos and then Minoan civilization, well before the ancient Greece etc...
Most importantly - send your students and postdocs - they also (or primarily) deserve to enjoy the warm weather mid-semester.
@nanoGe_Conf
ISPSA conference was a blast. Superb quality and topical coverage of the modern physics and applications of semiconductors. Thanks to Sohee Jeong ( @CutieQd ) for organizing the Symposium on QDs.
Great time at ISPSA on Jeju isand! Group dinner with the Klimov group alumni, 22 years of postdocs in the picture ❤️ Thank you @CutieQd for organisation! Amazing food.
💥New conference! Save the date 🗓️
