The first is written by none other than the President of @CutlerPub herself, @loreazabaleta! Lorea wrote a quick piece on how the Cutthroats club rugby team is gearing up for a highly anticipated Spring season

“The emotional strain put on students over the course of the past two weeks, along with the stress of our usual, rigorous academic schedule, motivated us to give our team some time off.
It’s not enough… But it’s what we could do. So we did it.”
Cutler is how student publications @ColoradoCollege maintain editorial independence from the school & hold admin accountable. It also has *very* little funding, which limits the diversity of students who can participate in college journalism. Please consider donating if you can.
Literally, any amount helps as we work towards a Cutler that more adequately compensates our contributors and improves the facilities that we work in (such as buying non-broken chairs and servers that don’t crash as often).

Check out the piece below by @keepitonthehdl for more on the issue and why increasing the funding for student publications is so important.

The end year is ending and thus too must the presidential term of @jonlamson2. Jon has led the Cutler board fearlessly and truly believes in protecting independent student journalism (check out his last piece for @catalystnews if you don’t believe me).
We'll miss you, Jon!
“Low (or no) pay dictates who can be involved in student journalism,” writes @Keepitonthehdl. Thanks Hannah for writing this important piece (and peep a cameo from Cutler’s very own @loreazabaleta)
