It would help us to look after the Cuttle Brook nature reserve if people could stop walking on the grass paths whilst it is so wet and very muddy, as they are getting wider. This will allow the vegetation to recover more quickly. @ThameTC #Thame
๐ We're thrilled to reveal our new wetland creation project at Lopemede Farm. Made possible by collaborating with farmer Eddie Rixon, @BucksCouncil & @TOE_oxon to create a brand-new Habitat Bank! ๐ณ๐ฆhttps://t.co/iN0tufu0fD
Did you know that from 5 - 11 May is #HedgehogAwarenessWeek! With National Hedgerow Week also starting tomorrow, we wanted to share just how important hedgerows are for hedgehogs. Hedgerows allow hedgehogs to move freely between habitats, provide shelter, food and much more! ๐ฆ
@thameswater@VinaigretteGirl MORE LIES: @thameswater says it hasnt discharged raw sewage near Fiddler's Island (NW of Oxford) for 'quite some time'

Whole #Thames catchment is flooded with their๐ฉ
We have closed the path on the side of Cox's Wood to let the grass recover after sediment from clearing the ditch was spread here by contractors for @ThameTC @ThameHub#Thame
The ditch along the edge of Cox's Wood has been cleared by contractors working for @ThameTC to try to reduce the flooding caused by heavy rain. This has left the path very muddy and in need of time for the grass to recover so please avoid for the next few weeks. @ThameHub#Thame
A crack willow has lived up to its name and is blocking the path by the Watkins Bridge. The volunteers plan to clear it on Sunday morning. @ThameTC @ThameHub#Thame@RiverThameCT
This ditch on the edge of Cox's Wood is going to be cleared of vegetation and silt by contractors this week for @ThameTC to try to reduce flooding, following all the heavy rain this wet winter. #Thame
Please avoid this area for the next few days. @ThameHub
This is why the River Thame & Cuttle Brook are flooding. We have had more than double the average rainfall in the last month, after a very wet autumn.
February was exceptionally wet for southern and eastern England.
Remarkably, East Anglia recorded both its warmest and wettest February on record.
Future winters will be a lot warmer and wetter. Not convinced weโre ready!
It is still very wet across the Cuttle Brook site. The brook is deep, full of sediment & edges are hidden. Many paths are underwater. It is very muddy, so please avoid until it dries out. This is the brook under the Phoenix Trail bridge. @ThameTC @Sustrans @ThameHub#Thame
