@dacorniest I CAN FINALLY REPLY AGAIN I did not know dat, I see many people just use it to mean a man who likes feminine clothing with no sexual connotation
@dacorniest So like they wish to be a feminine man but know that isn't possible before T. Some just compromise by dressing masc until they start To while other compromise by just accepting they'll be viewed as a girl irl for now
@dacorniest I think most of them just wish they were femboys. I know of some trans men also who dressed masc then once they were on T and started passing began dressing feminine
@dacorniest I think its less about becoming a man and more about becoming whatever they find makes them the most comfortable in their own skin, for some it means being called a man/boy brings them joy and comfort but their body/clothing isn't a concern for them so they don't change it
@dacorniest I think also for transmascs dressing masc can feel pointless sometimes because like a majority of women dress in a way considered masc in their every day lives. I suspect this is why many trans men dress alt because its a way to seperate themselves from just being a masc girl
@dacorniest Presenting more masculine maybe, but being fem and alt is a big part of his identity. Waking up looking like a cis man he would definitely still dress feminine and it would definitely improve his dysphoria
@dacorniest I personally know the awful feeling misgendering brings, I can understand that. So I can conceptualise someone who transitions purely based on that awful feeling but who doesn't care much for how their body is. I guess its hard to describe to someone who hasn't experienced it
@dacorniest I do think its probably explained vaguely because the feeling of being trans it itself is already difficult to describe and explain so when you get to something like that it just doubles it
@dacorniest I have a trans male friend who dresses very fem and outside observers might view him as nondysphoric or a faker like they view OP but he's currently on testosterone and actually experiences very severe dysphoria which he's confided in me about
@dacorniest OP also states he wants to go on testosterone in the comments so I think he just has a desire to be a feminine man but since without T it isn't possible to be percived that way he simply presents female out of convenience
@dacorniest Thats not always it, the "you need dysphoria to be trans" thing is usually echoed by people who just believe any dysphoria that isnt exactlt like theirs isn't dysphoria. Someone can have dysphoria about being misgendered but feel nothing about their body, for example
