@nadhimzahawi@immieswain Well done Immie! Thank you for your efforts on autism awareness 🙌.
Nadhim, #schoolsbill does NOT detail support for children to thrive. If you feel that the education system should support children then amend the bill #stoptheschoolsbill

The DfE already hold huge amounts of individual children's personal data
They now want to super size this with:
- live tracking of individual children's attendance
- unlimited personal and sensitive data on children 'not in school'
Amid huge DfE failings flagged by the ICO👇

"I just want to thank you once again for your help. I had so much confidence I did not even look before I made the payment and you did not disappoint. Thank you so much. You are an absolute professional."

"Instead of listening to the desperate cried of teachers calling for autonomy, reforming the education system so all children can thrive and supporting home educating families, more restrictions, regulations and threats are being put in place."
"On closer inspection, the Schools Bill appears to be a tool for more authoritarian control and state coercion of children and families into an underfunded education system that is not fit for purpose."
‘The Education Secretary will have the power to make decisions about our children and their education without parliamentary oversight. He can just decide.’ The power shift inherent in the new Schools Bill @teamsquarepeg @RethinkingJames https://t.co/MsloeKaJ8M
@SMcfarnell@katief1978 @Rethinking_Ed @RethinkingJames@naomicfisher@teamsquarepeg@Ian1Cunningham /replacement stating that "an institution provides full-time education for a child if the child could be expected to receive all or a majority of their education at the institution." Though Im not sure this clarifies, as gov stance seems to be all kids should be at an institution
@SMcfarnell@katief1978 @Rethinking_Ed @RethinkingJames@naomicfisher@teamsquarepeg@Ian1Cunningham That suggestion was from the section stating that an Independent Educational Institution(IEI) inc. ed a child with SEN full-time in a setting that is not an excepted institution. My interpretation is that it could include home ed as an IEI. There is an amendment (p59)...
@DonEford Thanks! I'm pleased you found the article helpful and hope others will too. This might also be of interest for those with #longcovid#mecfs 👇

@MasterAcademia_ My 4 golden rules for academic writing. It should be
1. Grammatically correct
2. As clear as possible
3. Active if possible (optional)
4. As short as possible
Never make reader's life miserable. It is not reader's job to figure out what you mean. It is your (writer's) job
UK gov wants to tackle #child#mentalhealth crisis & also pass #SchoolsBill to shut great alternative provisions & force happily #homeEd kids (many are SEND) to #school where SEND support is lacking & #teachers are leaving cos the system is broken & severely under funded?
