@greatony @ImLunaHey That’s nothing to do with Apple, it’s entirely the way the hardware works. If the memory wasn’t on chip it wouldn’t have the same performance. The new nvidia chips are also like this. It’s an unfortunate evolution of electronics.

@greatony @ImLunaHey Mini is good value but doesn’t have much memory, that’s why you go for the Studio.

I used to have a Studio with loads of memory but sold it when I moved here, sort of regret it now…

@ImLunaHey I feel that pain, I started to trim down a lot of my projects so I didn’t have to worry so often about it 😅 unfortunately some docker images are out of my control though

@__morse I genuinely wonder how they’re doing it and if it’s potentially possible to do some “magic” like having the local CPU/GPU, apply a “live” filter that reduces what’s on screen as to speed up *some* computer usage tasks that don’t need to detect as many things 🤔

@DustinOgle33 @q_yeon_gyu_kim Absolutely, plus this is just the latest v5 model which is just the latest refinement. They’re meant to be releasing a v6 model at some point… absolutely love the competition, gives the consumer a better product!
