@Iknowcollege@Moldy78 Still think with coaching continuity this team would have been a Big XII favorite next year. Even if Mouser eventually turned into Prohm (inherited great team but couldn’t maintain it), most fans wouldn’t be as upset rebuilding for an eventual low vs the current high.
@CJSRacing15C@_AlexGookin Even if you believe that, he’d likely be Steve Prohm! He likely would have inherited/ easily maintained a lot of the staff and players on a team that would have been a Big XII favorite next year. Most fans would take that over what is likely going to be a long road back.
@_AlexGookin Exactly! Any AD watching this unfold and not realize the importance of continuity on the coaching staff is a dinosaur. Pollard likely set this team, that would have been a Big 12 favorite next year, back 4+ years by not hiring Taylor Mouser.
💔by these recent portal announcements. A few surprised me (26/26/84). Starting to think JP doesn’t understand the current state of college athletics. If he had promoted Mouser this team likely stay together and competes for a Big 12 title in 26. Now we are in for a long rebuild.
@CycloneFB Seems short sighted. I’m really hopeful this new staff is going to be able to re-recruit most of the players to stay. I’d also say no one really cares about the actual bowl game but losing the extra bowl practices will likely be costly for the seniors and the players staying.
