Culture Ireland are thrilled to support "Shylock’s Revenge", a Merchant of Venice adaptation with original material by from Cyclone Rep Theatre Company touring Germany this week.

🕺🏻 "Shylock’s Revenge" is a one-man show, featuring Marcus Bale, and explores how the character of Shylock is presented in Shakespeare’s 'The Merchant of Venice'. In the play, he is portrayed as a ruthless villain hellbent on exacting bloody revenge against the merchant Antonio. ‘Shylock’s Revenge’ asks Why?' has the character come to have this ruthless disposition within the social context of Christian-dominated Venice.
