the whole act is something Blossum CHOSE to do.
i’ve gotten frustrated with artists and never once have i tried to blackmail or coerce anyone into doing anything.
and no, i genuinely don’t believe someone can truly reflect on these kinds of actions in the span of 1 day.
i feel like it’s kind of wicked, to want to move on so quickly, after "1 entire day of reflection".
this isn’t some accident or honest mistake.
you intentionally leveraged your following to blackmail a minor into doing your biding.
how many others have you manipulated ?
why are so many vtubers such terrible people behind the scenes ..
i really liked Blossum and all that she has done for the community, this is just disgusting . . .
I feel pulled to bring awareness to this situation.
TLDR; Blossum blackmailed, cyber bullied, threatened, and almost caused a minor to commit over her actions. Please read the document in the OP for all of the context.
I feel like it needs to be said that having a Twitter following DOES NOT make someone successful or untouchable. Twitter is a way to stay updated on current events, engage with mutuals/peers, make announcements, and in general just another platform to get new eyes on your content and meet new people. I have a little over 4k on this platform, but also have a booming YouTube channel, a booming Twitch channel, an okay TikTok channel, and growing Instagram and Facebook channels. Being able to turn your following into a solid community is what makes a creator, NOT the number on a Twitter account. It is NEVER okay to flex as your only source of clout, let alone threaten someone over. I literally only open Twitter to post funnies, stay up to date, and see what my VTuber peers are up to. Sometimes I speak on important topics here if I feel strong enough to use my voice about it, and this is one of those moments.
Could Darren have been more professional? Sure! But let's not forget that they are a ******16 year old******. A minor. A minor with autism. They're obviously brand new to the business side of the entertainment industry and got excited -- like anyone would -- over receiving a yes from putting themselves and their passion project out there. Professionalism is a learned skill, not inherent, and instead of being the adult in the situation and using this as an opportunity to be kind and teach Darren the ropes of professionalism, Blossum quite literally cyber bullied and attempted to control them. This behavior is unprofessional at best for her, and predatory at its worst. Blossum knew from the beginning they were a minor. They knew they had the tism, and still attempted to not only exploit them as a power grab but publicly shame them for holding HER accountable for how she was speaking to them. It's not uncommon once a collaboration has gone into DMs that communication becomes more lax, and to behave in the way she did over a clear breakdown in communication is unacceptable. To attempt to control who Darren collaborated moving forward with is absurd. To force a shame ritual by public humiliation when she is an ADULT and Darren is a MINOR is absolutely disgusting behavior. This wouldn't even be okay with two consenting adults. I usually try to speak in a less pointed tone, but I am absolutely disappointed to my core over everything I just read in this document.
Your Twitter followers don't give you the right to cyber bully someone. Your followers ANYWHERE do not give you the right to cyber bully someone. At any point she could have just blocked and moved on if it were just about a boundary, but the level to which this was taken is absolutely insane.
As someone who has been cyber bullied, I am so sorry to Darren for having to experience this. I am so sorry this is the experience you had putting yourself out there to VTubers/content creators to share your art to the world for the first time. I promise you this is not how we all are. I promise you Blossum's behavior is fundamentally viewed by almost all of us as wrong, and I truly, truly hope that you continue chasing your dream. Continue creating your art, and at some point are able to trust content creators with collaborations again.
From a stranger with no stake in this, you deserve better, and Blossum needs to absolutely take accountability for this awful behavior.

silly late night thought, but sometimes . . .
i wish i could join a vtuber agency.
even if it was a start up, bare bones and all.
having the design and model comped feels like a dream ; i could just— get straight to streaming and finally focus on content.
it’s such a shame ,,
@exisbread agreed c:
it feels rare, but it’s oddly heartwarming when bigger peeps show that they care about these kinds of things.
especially when so many people’s safety and data are at risk here !
hats off to Taiga.
i just hate how it takes a bigger vtuber’s voice, for the majority of the community to listen to people’s warnings, criticisms and concerns.
not every negative take is an attack.
and i’m appalled that so many vtubers defended this ai vibe-coded nonsense.
as a person with a doctorate in comp sci and has been programming since I was in middle school, I beg of you all to stop thinking "vibe coding" is going to be enough.
you should've hired an actual programmer if you "haven't coded in a long time". the cybersecurity risks, the blatant use of Claude, looking at the GitHub it's literally just a bunch of files slapped together in one folder for some shit.
I believe that your ideas and intentions were not meant to be malicious but I beg you to scrap this all and rewrite it from scratch without Claude or at least hire a programmer and cybersecurity analyst before bringing it to the public and risking their safety with them not knowing how any of this works. that's irresponsible and dangerous. especially for code you cannot vet.
on this note: you're against GenAi for art but not for mechanical/technical purposes. "computer do computer things, humans do human things" you do know...that humans created computers right? we created code? modern computing you have now wouldn't have been possible without "humans". so in your eyes it's not ok to replace artists but it's ok to replace programmers.
ok.
can i not play with my p*ssy in peace like holy fuck.
being a vtuber is annoying enough, now i can’t even goon without the threat of being arrested.
i’m so fucking tired of the UK’s draconian bullshit, parent your fucking kids.

@BERNie_SCP yeah, true . . .
gotta remember that this ai algo pushes hate SO much more farther than anything else.
it’s just disheartening to see sometimes.
