So… Stranger Things has finally come to an end.
Was the ending perfect? No. But honestly, it never needed to be. Just like a D&D campaign, there will always be complaints from those watching from the outside. Plot holes will exist no matter how talented the Dungeon Master is — and that’s kind of the point. That’s the magic of D&D. It lives in imagination. It invites us to fill in the gaps, to debate theories, to argue over choices, twists, and outcomes. And that’s exactly what we’ve been doing online these past few days — and I love that.
Love it or hate it, the Duffer Brothers and the entire cast and crew gave us nearly 10 years of unforgettable storytelling. Incredible characters we grew up with. Friendships that felt real. Fear, loss, triumph, and hope — all wrapped up in an Upside Down world that’ll live rent-free in our heads forever.
And in the end, our beloved kids from Hawkins finally got their happy endings. The dice were rolled. The final boss was faced. The campaign came to a close.
But as with all great stories, the ending doesn’t feel like a goodbye — just a pause. One story ends, another begins, and whatever the Duffers decide to do next is anyone’s guess… but I know I’ll be there watching.
Thank you, Stranger Things.
That campaign was truly something special. ❤️

Today, I announced my plan to retire from Nintendo, effective December 31, 2025. Nintendo has been an integral part of my life for 44 years, starting with Donkey Kong Arcade as a kid in college. It has been an honor to contribute to this incredible company and bring our beloved characters and worlds to fans through our video games, theme parks, and movie experiences.
