New piece on the exasperations and irritations of every day life and mental health nursing. And a call for action from colleagues and comrades. The Meldrewfication of Mick - McKeown - Journal of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing - Wiley Online Library https://t.co/lJekT2YiYs
@Simon4Hall@benhannigan@cityalan Many congratulations Simon, we are hugely pleased that you have independently generated simulations from our research. Your contribution is unique and highly valued.
I honestly have the best students and best colleagues. Mental health nursing is a science that builds on human connection but i cant do what i do without research. @benhannigan@cityalan@D10Coff 🙏
Are you the same guy who dropped his house building targets? Because I’m the guy who started building more council homes than the rest of England combined, exceeded your affordable homes targets & built more homes of any kind than since the 1930s. This is desperate nonsense.

As someone who grew up in a large family I know how difficult it can be. As a party we must put tackling child poverty at the heart of everything we do. Scrapping the two child limit would lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty, it's that simple.
We can have a debate about the quality of university courses. But the first question to a politician advocating fewer kids go to university is to ask them where they went/where their kids go/went. Too often they’re not talking about themselves or their kids, but someone else’s.
This announcement is yet another attack on opportunity by the government.
Associating quality with earning potential misses the various other ways in which university study enriches lives and enhances our culture + society.
The metrics are all wrong.

End of life care can be hard to navigate & varies across the country, meaning too many people die without the support they & their loved ones need.
This ‘postcode lottery’ is wrong.
