Achieving a safe, free, and prosperous African digital age relies entirely on robust, multi-stakeholder collaboration among governments, industry leaders, and civil society.
These will be marked forever as said by @usembassytz ambassador, Andrew Lentz
Wisdom is wealth.
Tanzania has the talent and ambition to shape Africa’s digital future, not simply consume it.
Chargé d’Affairs Andy Lentz delivered remarks today at the Tanzania Data Lab’s (dLab’s) fifth biennial Data Tamasha - a festival highlighting how data, AI, and digital technology can expand economic opportunity and support Tanzania’s digital future.
dLab has longstanding ties to the United States, and together, leveraging best-in-class American technology, we can build a globally-interconnected innovation ecosystem that is secure and safe for users.
"We have to help down stream users of data understand, we've to be clear about where the information is coming from, making sure the community is engaging with Data, we have to translate data into action" Steve Prager, from GATES Foundation

"We have to remember that every data set reprents a person, let's keep building the data , let keep building innovation, let's build partnerships with purpose" @MarkB_Schreiner Country Reprensative @UNFPATanzania#JengaNaData#Data4Action
"We work with partners so that to ensure technology reaches out to the right people, we look at all the pillars of digital transformation, we transform people not the technology" @nkundwemwasaga Director General @ict_commission#datatamashaafrica2026
We feel proud at least seeing people of all groups engaging in data usage at different levels, this is what dLab looks forward to, making it as our normal routine in Tanzania in Africa.
