Todos acreditavam que o destino reservaria um confronto inevitável entre Brasil e México. Mas o Brasil, tomado pela mais pura confiança de que o México eliminaria a Inglaterra, fez a escolha mais egoísta de todas: abandonou a Copa do Mundo antes que pudesse encarar aquele que, secretamente, ocupava seu coração.

A notícia caiu como um golpe para o México. O que deveria ser uma campanha histórica perdeu completamente o sentido. De que adiantava continuar lutando pelo título se o motivo de cada vitória já não estava mais ali?

Incapaz de aceitar a despedida silenciosa do Brasil, o México tomou uma decisão impulsiva: também desistiu da competição. Afinal, uma Copa sem o Brasil era apenas um torneio vazio.

Agora, enquanto o restante do mundo segue disputando o troféu, duas seleções vagam juntos longe dos gramados. Porque, às vezes, o maior adversário não é quem está do outro lado do campo... é o medo de enfrentar quem faz seu coração bater mais forte.
